About Me

Hi!

I'm Torrie. A indie author based in the North-East of England.

I started writing early on, but I had always been more of a avid reader than a writer, thanks to my Grandad Norman. He was my inspiration for everything and he is the reason I write today.

My debut release, The Lies We Tell was always a story that I wanted someone to read and think "God! I wish I was like Jules." I knew I want to be like her. She's fourteen, barely got a care in the world, and when I first started writing the first draft, it wasn't anything like it is now. But that's a good thing.

The story took a sharp left turn, and I love how it is now. I love my characters, no matter how hard they test my patience, and I love the storyline. It's something that I am proud to have wrote for you all. As are my other books.

Hate you too holds a super special place in my heart. It was originally my first ever viral Wattpad story with over 500k reads at one point. So if you ever read a Captain America fan fiction called Loving The Shield. Hi yes, that was me. I loved that story and I loved the characters, and when I decided to publish it to the world, I knew I wanted to keep the same sort of storyline which is why it's a law enforcement romance based in a government setting.

Dealing With The Outcast came on a whim. I love Eddie Munson from Stranger Things, and after watching season 4, I knew I wanted a character like him, but with a little drizzle of Heath Ledger's character from 10 Things I Hate About You. As for Jolie, I wanted my fellow booktok girls, guys, gays and theys to have someone they can relate to. Just because we all read smut and think we are the experts, a lot of us in this lifetime had kinky sex. Which is why I came up with Jolie. And I love her.

In my very short time as a author, I have made some grave mistakes with who to trust with my work, who I need to vet check and who will actually look out for me when it comes to giving me their opinion. I have welcomed and continue to welcome all opinions and criticism that comes my way. Because that is how I learn and grow as a author. So to anyone who has left a review, or left any sort of message encouraging me, or even telling me how I can do better, thank you.

I hope you enjoy my stories if you do decide to read them. And if you're here and you've read them already, thank you. Thank you, thank you.
